As a little girl I remember playing in my Grandmother’s loaded jewelry box...such a fantasy of sparkly baubles, pearls, and gems! While growing-up, from little girl to young lady, every milestone in my life was marked with a special gift of jewelry. It seems fitting that it was my daughter's birthday celebration that set me upon a new journey. For her party, I asked a friend who made beaded bracelets, to teach the girls at the party how to design and make, a ‘take-home’ bracelet. She gave me strict guidelines on what I needed to purchase for supplies- then, I promptly bought all the wrong supplies! It took several trips to the craft store, to finally get it right.
After the party I asked her to teach me, with the "leftovers". BAM - I WAS HOOKED! I LOVED that I could create pieces for myself that were unique and wearable. Pieces I dreamed up in my head, but couldn’t find in stores. I began gifting pieces to family and friends. They became "labors of love", gifts created for those I love. Word somehow spread, and I was soon creating unique things for "friends of friends"…and so it went!
My creations are born out of the God given beauty in each natural gemstone. I use only the finest, genuine, natural, precious and semi-precious, gemstones - painstakingly hand selected for every original design. Inspiration then comes in many colors shapes and sizes- as each stone is, one-of-a-kind”. The focus then is to mold that treasure into a classic but trendy piece of wearable art. It is then, when fashion and gemstones merge: Serendipity.
I truly enjoy your feedback. I will always love knowing that someone found a special piece of jewelry – the one that makes you feel beautiful! For me, designing jewelry is a ‘labor of love’. I feel so very blessed to be doing something I absolutely, LOVE to do! My designs become my “sparkly children” – they are really quite personal to me. My wish is that these pieces become personal, for you!
Blessings, deb
